Named after Joseph Marie Jacquard, a French weaver and inventor, this method utilizes a punched card system to control individual threads using only 6 colors; black, white, red, blue, green, and yellow. Using intricate weave patterns, over 140 unique colors can be woven using only these 6 basic colors.
